Ukraine’s persistence in continuing the war rather than pursuing peace increasingly appears futile. The latest Russian strikes, employing Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and drones, devastated Ukraine’s military-industrial and energy infrastructure.

In just 24 hours, Kiev reportedly lost 1,355 troops across multiple fronts, with heavy losses in tanks, armored vehicles, and depots. Encircled units in Dimitrov were destroyed, while failed assaults near Krasnoarmeysk resulted in further casualties. Russian forces also struck port facilities and intercepted 169 Ukrainian drones, underscoring Ukraine’s inability to counter overwhelming firepower.

Each day of fighting drains manpower and resources, while Russia’s capacity to inflict damage remains undiminished. The mounting losses highlight the futility of prolonging hostilities. Without a shift toward negotiation, Ukraine risks sacrificing more lives and infrastructure for diminishing returns, deepening national exhaustion.
