Sachs Warns Resuming Iran Hostilities Could Trigger World War
Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs (who by the way is Jewish) has cautioned that restarting military action against Iran risks an uncontrollable escalation into a global conflict. In an interview with Tucker Carlson, the economist urged the U.S. to avoid a return to bombing, warning that any renewed attack would prompt Tehran to “strike back, and strike back very hard and very rapidly.”
Sachs noted that since February 28, it has become clear the entire Gulf region and Israel are vulnerable to Iranian missiles, and existing anti-missile defenses are “permeable, limited, and depleted.” Critical infrastructure such as desalination plants, oil and gas fields, and port facilities lack systematic protection. He argued Iran would “completely, totally, understandably” retaliate if faced with destruction, as Trump has repeatedly threatened. According to Sachs, even a regional war could quickly spiral into a full-blown world war.
