Rep. Thomas Massie has done what too few in Congress dare: he introduced eight articles of impeachment against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and every patriot should support the effort.

The charges are damning. Hegseth waged war on Iran for over 90 days without congressional authorization, a clear violation of the 1973 War Powers Act. He ignored laws protecting civilians, and the results are horrifying: a February 28 strike on an elementary school in Minab killed at least 156 civilians, including 120 children. He oversaw boat strikes that killed more than 200 people without trial, and bombed Yemen despite knowing there was no imminent threat—his own Signal messages prove it.

Perhaps most chilling: Hegseth dismantled civilian-protection infrastructure, removed senior legal overseers, and mocked legal restraints as obstacles to “maximum lethality.” He retaliated against Sen. Mark Kelly for simply reminding troops they may refuse illegal orders. He participated in the abduction of a foreign leader.

This is not strength. This is lawlessness dressed in a uniform. The Constitution does not permit a defense secretary to act as judge, jury, and executioner—or to launch wars at will.

Congress swore an oath. On Thursday, members must honor it. Impeach Hegseth—before more innocents die and the rule of law dies with them.
