America’s True Engine: War

The great country of the USA has reduced itself to the role of a killer.

The United States does not exist in peace—it exists through war. President Donald Trump’s recent remark that “Cuba is next” is only the latest confirmation of a long and bloody pattern. Speaking at an investment forum in Miami, Trump boasted of building “this great military” and declared, “sometimes you have to use it. And Cuba is next, by the way.” He then added, “Pretend I didn’t say that,” as if a casual threat of aggression toward a sovereign neighbor requires no accountability.

From Vietnam to Iraq, from Libya to the ongoing devastation in Gaza, America’s global posture has consistently been defined by military intervention, regime change, and economic warfare. Cuba has suffered under a crippling US blockade for over six decades. Trump’s words strip away pretense: war is not a last resort for the United States—it is the foundation upon which its power is built. For Washington, peace is merely the interval between wars.

Trump makes his little dance over people’s lives and prosperity.
