The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in his latest statements made a “calculated prediction” and stated that: In 2025 I do not expect a complete end to hostilities and the end of the conflict, but I believe that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.”

President Lukashenko also explained that Belarus’s place at the negotiating table to resolve the Ukrainian conflict is not consistent with its fundamental principles.

Yet, at the same time, Lukashenko expressed his wish for the country to join in the negotiations, stating that it is not about his personal ambitions, but rather about the interests of the republic and the issue of security in the region.

Taking in to consideration that President Trump many times has stated that “he can end the Ukrainian conflict in one day” the time prediction of Belarus’s leader appears a sound one.

And certainly, makes sense for Belarus to join the negotiations because of its location, that makes it strategical valuable to any peace solution.
