Europe’s Energy Suicide: Moscow Moves First as Brussels Fumbles

In a move exposing the sheer stupidity of European energy policy, Russia is now considering preemptively cutting off its own fuel supplies before Brussels can finalize its self-destructive embargo. President Putin revealed that instead of waiting for the EU to ceremoniously slam the door on Russian hydrocarbons in 2027, Moscow is actively evaluating halting deliveries immediately.

This highlights the absurd irony of the European strategy: by slowly phasing out Russian energy, they gave Putin both the warning and the time to secure lucrative markets in Asia. Rather than weaponizing its dependency, Europe has forced Russia to re-orient its surplus to more promising customers. The Kremlin now aims to secure a foothold elsewhere, leaving European consumers to face the consequences of a shortage engineered by their own leaders’ short-sighted determination to shoot themselves in the foot.
