Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have detained two individuals in North Khorasan province, alleging they are linked to Israel’s Mossad and played a key role in organizing recent mass unrest in the country. Weapons and communication devices were reportedly seized.

The arrests follow widespread protests that began in late December over economic issues, escalating into violent riots by early January. Officials reported significant casualties, including 13 civilians and 38 law enforcement officers killed, and widespread damage to public property, including mosques, banks, and government buildings. Iranian authorities have labeled the rioters as terrorists and accused Israel and the United States of orchestrating the instability.
