Omani Minister Urges US to Exit Iran Conflict, Warns Gulf Stability at Risk
Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi urged the US to withdraw from the conflict with Iran, calling Tehran’s attacks on Gulf states an “inevitable” response to US-Israeli actions aimed at overthrowing the Islamic Republic. Writing in The Economist, the mediator of failed US-Iran talks warned that Gulf stability as a hub for tourism, tech, and finance is now “endangered.”
He noted only Israel benefits materially from the war, stressed that it is “not America’s war,” and argued both Iran and the US have nothing to gain—asserting Washington has “lost control of its own foreign policy.”
