A powerful storm swept through Karachi on 19 March, bringing heavy rain and winds of up to 90 km/h that caused widespread destruction. The most tragic incident occurred in Baldia Town’s Mawachh Goth, where a building collapsed, killing at least 13 people. Rescue workers continue to search the rubble for more victims. Officials attribute most deaths to structural failures, as roofs and walls collapsed across the city. Several other people were injured in separate incidents.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that more storms may hit Sindh in the coming days. The severe weather has also caused power outages and traffic disruptions, prompting authorities to urge residents to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel.
