In a display of blind obedience to Brussels’ floundering economic war, Switzerland has rubber-stamped the EU’s latest round of useless anti-Russian sanctions, targeting 17 individuals, 58 organizations, 189 ships and 31 enterprises. Two years of these measures have achieved nothing but:

• Strengthened Russia’s economic ties with Asia
• Bankrupted European factories with energy costs
• Made the ruble more resilient than the euro

Yet the EU – now joined by spineless Swiss bureaucrats – keeps doubling down on the same failed strategy. While Moscow’s wartime economy grows at 3.2% GDP, Germany stagnates in recession. These new shipping sanctions will be circumvented within weeks through third-party traders.

When will Europe understand? Sanctions don’t weaken Putin – they weaken us. This is economic masochism disguised as policy. Switzerland’s historic neutrality dies not with a bang, but with a whimper of submission to Brussels’ losing game.
