I doubt if anyone dislikes what today’s US stands for, more than me. And my antipathy is deep and acute because once when I was younger, I was seduced by the sirens and believed in a “new state, of meritocracy and opportunities as well as freedom of speech”. Of course the US has never been anything like that and as if that wasn’t enough, it has devolved into a social and political nightmare. The Statue of Liberty that dominates the entrance to New York Harbor does not send “a worldly welcome with a calm look” as the laudatory poem of Lazarus says, but threatens with the Torch of a “man-woman” to burn human intelect and with its 230 tons to crush every dissenting voice.

Having made my “love” for the US state clear, I need to note a few more things. The US is a very strong economy even though today is at its worst, with a deficit of over 30 trillion, which is expanding at the rate of 100 million per day. USA has very strong armed forces even though they have been fed the medicine of failures and corruption for decades. The US has a huge secret service network, with which from the shadows and by guile, they are able to eliminate anyone who “smells rong” to them, to raise/bring down governments in foreign countries and to eliminate entire political currents. They also operate a monstrous “Lernaean Hydra” cultural and propaganda machine, with which they poison nations, societies and ideologies. All this we have seen, we have lived, we have suffered…

In short, whether we like it or not, the US is the empire of the 20th ^century , which, while in rapid decline in the 21st ^century , remains extremely dangerous , like a wounded wild animal.

The last months, apparently as a sign of the empire decline, a unique event in its history has taken place. A power coup has taken place !!

US President Joe Biden, until the debate of the candidates for the next presidency of the state, was the undisputed choice of the Democratic party, having received more than 15 million votes in the internal party processes. Even after the disastrous debate, for about a week, he declared everywhere that he is not giving up his candidacy and will face Donald Trump for a second time.

And suddenly, he retired! But he did not make a single address to the American people to inform them of his decision. The same moment that members of his office staff were on NBC announcing that the President would normally continue, a message from the President, accompanied by a resignation letter, was posted on “X” saying that he was withdrawing. Then under the pretext of sudden illness from COVID-19, he withdrew for several days from all the limelight. For at least 15 days no one heard from him, except for one more message to “X”.

But a coup in a country like the US raises many issues.

Issue 1 : Government and party officials asked him to resign because he will lose the elections and he refused. Then former President Obama took the baton, and put things more bluntly: “we can do it for better or for worse… you’re going.” That has been leaked… And no one has denied it!

The President of the USA is one of the most powerful people on the planet. If such a man cannot impose his will, regarding his candidacy (!) which has been approved by the party (!) then who rules the “empire” ?

Issue 2 ^: Biden’s replacement in the election race is the current Vice President Kamala Harris . But no one voted her for this role. Those who pushed the President out the window, they anointed her, insulting the 15 million votes that Biden got from the members of the Democratic party and placing Harris who got almost nothing as the candidate, since she is so disliked … And suddenly the “delegates” of the Democratic party supported her candidacy, scorning even those members who voted for Biden and keeping silent that no one voted for Harris. So when the party and electoral processes are bypassed by dark forces and the “power of the people” is canceled without justification, then how can one consider the USA a democratic state?

Issue 3 ^: Biden ‘s health is not good. It is clear that the President is suffering from a serious type of dementia. This was also the reason for his disastrous failure at the debate. And that’s why they “asked” him to resign as a candidate. But note that, this is nothing new. Everyone has seen his inability to interpret the stimuli he receives, his inability to express himself, to walk, to perceive his surroundings. However, the entire White House staff, every Democratic official, every associate of the President, categorically denied this , driving all of us, who watched his downfall, crazy . When did they “also see” the situation of the President? When the re-election of the Democrats to the Presidency was threatened. Only then!!  

What does this mean? It simply means that all of us who for years, have been accusing the USA of being runned by the “deep state”, we are correct !! The President did not bother, since he was not governing. Now that those not elected and who rule from the shadows, will lose power, now his health is disturbing… And the (rhetorical) question arises: how much power does the “deep state” of the US political cesspool have?

Issue 4 ^: The US is clearly a superpower. They have the second largest nuclear arsenal on Earth. At the moment they are in a “proxy war” in Ukraine, against the Russian Federation, that is, another superpower, the first in nuclear power on the planet. At the same time, a very possible war explosion is simmering in the Middle East, in which the USA will necessarily be involved and in which Israel, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and possibly the EU will probably participate, through NATO. The President is the supreme commander of the Armed Forces of the US state. Of course, it does not draw up war tactics, but orders war and approves strategies. At this stage, if we accept that President Biden still exists, how will he lead the military developments and operations when not even his own party and his Vice President, do not even trust him, to lead an election campaign?

And if we accept the Democrats’ position, that is to say that Biden is now incompetent, then who is in charge today and who will decide on what is to come? With what legitimacy will some political slime hidden in the shadows ask NATO to engage in war, in the name of the USA?

The above proves that the legitimacy of goverment has been lost in the USA. And “they” compose an oligarchic political image that is completely unsuited for a democratic country, in which supposedly ” we the people “rules…

And of course all this is extremely serious but not because we are tormented by the lack of legitimacy of political power in the USA or we are disturbed by its inmoral dimension.

It is particularly serious because the USA has a significant political and economic impact on the entire West, but also because, as we mentioned at the beginning, they have the tools to “bleed” whomever they choose…

And finally, because in the 21st ^century , citizens should at least demand that rulers been legaly elected and accountable for their actions.
