“Curious Why Pressure Isn’t Working? How Mysterious”
A Fox News interview aired Sunday featured US envoy Steve Witkoff saying President Trump is “curious” that Iran has not “capitulated” to US demands despite a major American military buildup in the Middle East. Witkoff questioned why Tehran hasn’t approached Washington with new concessions, even though Iranian leaders have long stated—publicly and repeatedly—that they do not seek nuclear weapons, citing a religious ban issued by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Reports indicate Iran has offered temporary limits on uranium enrichment and proposed diluting its 60% stockpile, though US airstrikes have already halted enrichment activities. Despite this, Witkoff claimed Iran is only a week away from bomb‑grade material. He also confirmed meeting Reza Pahlavi, while Iran’s foreign minister announced upcoming talks with Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Geneva.
