Retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski, now a professor, commenting on U.S. Air Force losses in Iran, described the damage as “catastrophic” and warns that renewed war with Iran would be devastating. Her assessment follows an IRGC threat that retaliation would extend “beyond the region,” and comments from Iran’s foreign minister claiming Tehran is ready to destroy more American warplanes.

Citing a U.S. Congressional Research Service report, Iranian officials note:

For Kwiatkowski, these losses are a stark reminder that Iran poses no threat to the U.S. homeland—and that Americans never voted for, nor support, another Middle East war. As rhetoric escalates, her critique cuts to a core question: why risk wider conflict without public consent or clear national interest?

Oh, how the mighty fall.
