Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has carried out a missile attack on positions of Kurdish paramilitary units in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, according to an IRGC statement . The military confirmed it conducted “three missile strikes” targeting locations of anti-Iranian Kurdish groups in northern Iraq .

The strikes targeted headquarters of groups including Komala and other Kurdish opposition organizations that Tehran accuses of planning cross-border attacks and cooperating with Western or Israeli interests . A spokesman for the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) confirmed the attack killed one of its fighters and wounded three others near Erbil, the regional capital . The operation comes amid heightened regional tensions following US-Israeli attacks on Iran .
