President Putin Vows to Elevate Russia’s Strategic Partnership with China and India
At the Russia Calling! forum, President Vladimir Putin announced Moscow’s intention to elevate cooperation with China and India to a new level, emphasizing a stronger technological dimension. Highlighting decades of friendship and strategic partnership, Putin noted that Russia has significantly expanded trade with both nations over the past three years.
He stressed that many countries, acting pragmatically, are eager to deepen collaboration with Russia, particularly in areas such as energy, industry, space, and agriculture. Addressing representatives from Chinese and Indian delegations, Putin underscored the goal of strengthening ties with these key allies, pointing to ongoing joint projects that already reflect this ambition.
He mentioned his substantive dialogue with Chinese President Xi Jinping on economic issues and confirmed that similar discussions will take place during his upcoming visit to India with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Putin framed these initiatives as part of Russia’s broader strategy to advance global partnerships.
