On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot in the neck during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, part of his “American Comeback Tour.”

The political assassination, occurred around 12:20 p.m. in an outdoor amphitheater with approximately 3,000 attendees. The shooter, believed to have fired from a rooftop 100-200 yards away, remains at large, prompting an extensive manhunt. Two individuals initially detained were released after no ties to the shooting were found.

The FBI, alongside local and state authorities, is analyzing CCTV footage showing a suspect in dark clothing. The investigation, led by FBI Director Kash Patel, continues with a public tip line established. The assassination has drawn bipartisan condemnation amid rising concerns over political violence in the U.S.
