Since October 7, 2023, there have been a lot of Palestinian Journalists that lost their lives while reporting from the Gaza Strip. That number recently risen to 184 after the recent death of journalist Khaled Abu Zar, who worked as a journalist for the Voice of Youth Radio, who met his demise after a town bombing.

Government Media Office, based in Gaza, called to the international journalist organizations to voice the matter and to pressure it, so journalists be treated as they should be and stop the military from targeting them while they work at the field.

They also note that, besides the dead, there is an alarming number of injured journalists mostly of them with severe injuries, to the point of amputation.

The matter of news reporting, of the safe information circulation and journalists’ protection is a critical one -or should be- for every civilized country.
