Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at a campaign event Wednesday in Bucks County, just two days after she visited western Pennsylvania for a rally in Erie.
Harris is the latest candidate to woo voters in the Delaware Valley this week; in a span of two days, former President Donald Trump, his running mate JD Vance, President Biden and first lady Jill Biden all attended events in the Philadelphia area and surrounding suburbs.
Harris spoke at Washington Crossing Historic Park, where she was joined by dozens of Republicans, including former GOP lawmakers and ex-Trump aides who are supporting her candidacy.
She was introduced by a Bucks County couple who voted for Trump in the past and who are now backing Harris.
Harris’ speech did not focus on policy but honed in on what she says is at stake in the race.
“What is at stake in this race are the Democratic ideals that our founders and generations of Americans before us have fought for. At stake in this election is the Constitution of the United States it very self. We are here today because we share a core belief — that we must put country before party,” she said.
